Villa La Zagara

“Here in Villa La Zagara, the scent of citrus blossoms lingers in the air like a promise of timelessness.”

Villa La Zagara, a historic estate dating back to the 17th century, is located on Lake Garda, 5 km from Riva del Garda and 2 km from Limone sul Garda — placing it in close proximity to the historic Limonaia San Sebastian, which already belongs to the European Heritage Project.

MORE INFORMATION

Limone sul Garda is known for the longevity of its residents, which is attributed to the lemon trees growing in the area. “Zagara” refers to the blossom of citrus plants, particularly the orange blossom, but also the blossoms of lemon and citron, prized for their intense, fresh fragrance. The citron is one of the oldest cultivated citrus species and is also found in the Limonaia S. Sebastiano. The European Heritage Project was able to acquire Villa La Zagara in spring 2026.
